Cool eh?

Buhawi Meneses was gracious enough to make a 3rd installment for his acoustic nights for Greenpeace. As usual DeathToPuberty is again part of the lineup of performers. Anyways I just want to post this marquee here because that's a first for DeathToPuberty. Anyways you are invited to:

Because I link doing it "my way"

People who've known me for years and people who've been familiar with my former band PayItForward often ask me why I bother to still play music as a solo act and why opted to do home recordings and tried experimenting with making electronica.

The simple answer to that is because I have never really shaken-off that adolescent drive to play in a band.

I don’t know what it is…

The saying: “first come, first served,” is very elementary.

But what is interesting about it is that it speaks about the very tenet of what is supposed to be the normative expression of justice in an avenue where consensus is supposed to be built, it is very similar to a situation when you fall in line to avail of something (like say at a fastfood chain). Where of course it is only fair for those who are at the front of the line to be accommodated first since they did made an effort to be on time or at least to qualify them as deserving of the commodified service because they came first from the others.

Now it would be a different story if someone is to cut corners.

DeathToPuberty | At the Bottom of Everything (live)

What's interesting with my recent visit to San Pablo's Lakefest is that apart from watching great bands, meeting and talking with really cool people I also got the chance to do an impromptu performance as DeathToPuberty. Here is a footage of my take on Bright Eyes' At the Bottom of Everything. Big thanks to Jeff who also publishes Konspirazine and manages a really extensive blog called The Real Strength (I take that the title was inspired by Biofeedback's song on the album Hardtimes ) that catalogs the Philippine underground music scene. Anyways hope you'll like the song.
